TASTING NOTES

2019 Vintage Review

VINOUS 92 POINTS

The 2019 Pinot Noir Tournament Reserve opens with a dark blend of autumnal spice and dried black cherries lifted by hints of camphor. It’s silky smooth with a dense wave of ripe red and blue fruits coasting across a core of zesty acidity, adding violet inner florals toward the close. It tapers off admirably long and potent with a pleasantly bitter tinge of tart blackberry and dark chocolate that slowly fades. – Eric Guido

2018 Vintage Review

VINOUS 93 POINTS

Dark scarlet. An expressive bouquet evokes fresh red and dark berries, rose oil, incense and vanilla. Concentrated yet energetic as well, offering palate-staining, spice-laced black raspberry, cherry cola and floral pastille flavors that pick up a smoky mineral note on the back half. Delivers a suave blend of depth and finesse and finishes with fine delineation, harmonious tannins and lingering spiciness.

2018 Vintage WINE ENTHUSIAST 91 POINTS

This full-bodied, blocky wine is composed of the winery’s selection of its three best barrels, including one that is brand-new. The aromas touch on high-toned, while the flavors are of cherries and chocolate. The tannins are textured and chewy.
